The InflammaTENSION project investigates the role of inflammation in hypertension, aiming to identify new therapeutic targets. By bridging findings from animal models to human studies, it seeks to uncover how immune responses contribute to the development of high blood pressure.
Hypertension is a common disease impacting 1 billion people worldwide, which leads to catastrophic cardiovascular complications.
The cause of primary hypertension is unknown and the disease remains uncontrolled in many patients.
