The InnPho21 project aims to strengthen the European photonics industry by fostering collaboration among stakeholders and developing a strategic research agenda. It seeks to address common challenges and enhance the innovation landscape in photonics.
With revenues of 55 billion € in 2008, and a corresponding growth of nearly 30% compared to 2005, and 300000 people directly employed the European Photonics industry is one of the most important industry sectors and key enabling technologies for Europe in the 21st century.
