The ECHYNOXE SILICA project aims to innovate daylighting solutions using fiber optics and Fresnel lenses to enhance natural light distribution in buildings. This technology targets deep-plan and high-rise structures, promoting energy efficiency and improved indoor environments.
Daylighting reduces the need for electric light by introducing natural light into a building and improves indoor environmental quality.
Numerous daylight transport systems have been developed to improve natural illumination in the deep core of buildings by means of piping light from the building envelope to be distributed in the interior space.
