The Delft Networks project focuses on developing quantum networking technology to enhance information distribution. It aims to create a scalable quantum networking node that demonstrates practical applications and engages industry for co-development.
Computer networks have had a profound impact on humanity, fundamentally changing our everyday lives.
Akin to these ‘classical’ networks, quantum networks will distribute quantum information, thereby leveraging unique quantum advantages for applications which provably outperform any classical approach.
The mission of Delft Networks is to develop the technology and services that unlock the large societal and economic potential of general-purpose quantum networks.
