The INSERT project aims to improve personalized treatment for brain tumor patients through a novel imaging system that combines MRI and SPECT technologies. This approach allows for better assessment of treatment efficacy and aims to enhance the management of gliomas and other head and neck tumors.
The purpose of the project INSERT is to provide clinically relevant stratification and improved personalized radio-chemo therapy for brain tumour patients using a specifically developed multi-modality imaging tool.
The system will also be used for early assessment of treatment efficacy.
The initial focus will be on patients with glioma but there is future potential to target a range of tumours in the head and neck region.
