The project addresses work-related stress in the construction industry by investigating personality traits and their impact on stress coping mechanisms. It aims to develop 'Stress-Blocker', an artificial intelligence tool designed to help individuals manage stress effectively in their job roles.
Work-related stress is costing the UK economy about 10 million man-hours and €16 billion.
An intervention to curb the advent of stress is proposed: ‘Stress-Blocker’ (Streblo).
Cognitive psychology identifies five main personalities (Big-5): extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness.
