This project analyzes late 19th and early 20th century British and American women's fiction, focusing on representations of internal anatomy. It aims to develop a body-centered reading approach to understand how literature reflects medical knowledge and gendered perceptions of bodily experiences.
My project examines British and American women’s fiction of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries for its depictions of internal anatomy: organs and systems, circulatory, nervous, reproductive, and digestive.
