IPER-TECH aims to integrate efficient tin-based perovskite light-emitting diodes into a silicon nitride photonic platform. This technology targets the near-infrared spectrum, enabling applications in night vision, optical communications, data storage, and biomedical treatments.
IPER-TECH will demonstrate the integration of an array of efficient tin-based perovskites LEDs, with steerable emission in the NIR-I spectral range, into a photonic integrated platform based on silicon nitride.
The latter is recognized as a key technology due to its compatibility with the complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) manufacturing infrastructure and the potential for integration with back-end-of-line Si microelectronics.
