This project investigates the protective mechanisms of anthracycline drugs in severe sepsis, focusing on how these drugs can prevent organ failure. By identifying cytoprotective mechanisms, the research aims to develop new therapeutic strategies for sepsis and other inflammation-related conditions.
Severe sepsis remains a poorly understood systemic inflammatory condition with high mortality rates and limited therapeutic options outside of infection control and organ support measures.
