This project aims to advance hydrogen-borrowing catalysis for synthesizing chiral molecules by integrating asymmetric catalysis techniques. It focuses on developing new methodologies that enhance the synthesis of biologically active compounds, thereby benefiting both academia and industry.
Hydrogen-borrowing catalysis is a fantastically powerful method of constructing new bonds and synthesising key small organic molecules.
However, despite recent advances, many hydrogen-borrowing methodologies do not embrace asymmetric catalysis, limiting its use in targeted synthesis of chiral molecules.The goal of this proposal is to address these issues and develop new methodologies that involve enantioinduction.
