The XLZD project aims to enhance the search for dark matter using advanced liquid xenon detectors. It focuses on improving detection capabilities for various rare events, including solar neutrinos and supernova signals, through innovative optical readout systems.

Dual-phase liquid xenon (LXe) time projection chambers (TPCs) have led the search for particle DM, particularly for DM candidates above ~5 GeV.
