This project investigates string theory as a potential framework for understanding quantum gravity. It aims to explore the fundamental principles of symmetry and integrability within string theory, fostering collaboration among leading researchers from various countries.
String theory is a prime candidate for a consistent theory of quantum gravity.
It should therefore be able to address fundamental questions, such as the origin and structure of space-time.
The key to an understanding of these deep problems is to uncover of the symmetry principles that underlie string theory and to gain control of string theory in its non-perturbative regime.
