iShape3DSeed aims to revolutionize the study of seed shape by employing advanced 3D modeling and machine learning. This project seeks to provide insights into agricultural practices and environmental impacts through a detailed analysis of cereal seeds.
Research on modern seeds has shown that their shape reflects the influence of environmental growth conditions, including cultivation regimes.
However, no modern agronomical or archaeobotanical studies have so far exploited this immense potential of information encompassed in seed shape.
