This project investigates the early composition and differentiation of the solar system using short-lived radioactive chronometers. By analyzing ancient materials, it seeks to determine whether Earth and other terrestrial planets have chondritic compositions.
Meteorites are privileged witnesses of solar system accretion processes and early planetary evolution.
Short-lived radioactive chronometers are particularly adapted in dating and understanding these early differentiation processes.
