iSTRIDE focuses on combating Indwelling Device Associated Infections (IDAIs) through the development of innovative antimicrobial coatings and diagnostic tools. The project trains young scientists in interdisciplinary approaches to enhance medical technology and improve patient outcomes.
iSTRIDE will educate young scientists to develop innovative solutions to reduce the high incidence and mortality of Indwelling Device Associated Infections (IDAIs). IDAIs can be associated with urinary and intravenous catheters and cardiovascular devices, and result from microbial transfer and biofilm formation on the device surface.
