This project seeks to improve the theoretical understanding of deep neural networks by developing new mathematical frameworks. The aim is to provide insights into their performance and guide better design practices for critical applications.
Over the last decade, deep-learning algorithms have dramatically improved the state of the art in many machine-learning problems, including computer vision, speech recognition, natural language processing, and audio recognition.
