KNOW investigates the interplay of disciplines in premodern Islamic knowledge from 1200 to 1800 CE. By focusing on epistemic processes rather than products, it aims to enhance our understanding of interdisciplinary cooperation and the cultural vibrancy of this historical period.
KNOW is the first comprehensive study of polymathy and interdisciplinarity in premodern Islam.
