This project examines the impact of changes in the European Union's language policies on socio-economic factors. It explores how language skills correlate with income and education levels, aiming to identify which social groups may be disadvantaged by a reduction in official languages.
The goal of our project is address the question of the distributive consequences of a change in the current EU language regime and to estimate them using data contained in the Adult Education Survey (AES), published by Eurostat in 2011.
