This interdisciplinary project examines the transition from local languages to Latin in the north-western Roman Empire. By analyzing archaeological and epigraphic evidence, it seeks to understand the social dynamics of language change and its implications for cultural identity during this period.
This is an interdisciplinary project linking sociolinguistics, archaeology and ancient cultural history.
