This project develops an advanced Optical Character Recognition system specifically for digitizing early printed Latin books. By customizing open-source technology, it aims to significantly improve recognition accuracy, making it a valuable tool for libraries and researchers in preserving historical texts.
This project aims to provide the first viable and accurate solution for digitising early printed books in Latin using Optical Character Recognition.
