This project explores the evolution of artists and their works in Lebanon since 1943, focusing on the socio-political influences that shape their trajectories. It aims to create a digital platform for preserving Lebanon's cultural heritage and rethinking artistic production in a post-colonial context.
This project takes an ambitious approach to investigating the trajectories of artists and their works in and from Lebanon since its independence in 1943.
In the absence of an institutionalised local art history, artists are often stereotyped according to the agendas of labelling institutions.
