This project investigates the relationship between lexical categories such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and their meanings. By analyzing property concept sentences across various languages, it aims to uncover constraints on meaning induced by category, enhancing our understanding of language structure.
The distinction between the major lexical categories of noun, verb and adjective figures into myriad linguistic generalizations and has been a center of gravity in the study of language since antiquity.
