The Life Watch project aims to establish a large-scale research infrastructure for biodiversity data, integrating various observatories and data sources. It focuses on preparing the necessary agreements and logistics for construction, enhancing research opportunities and sustainable environmental management.
The Life Watch e-Science and Technology Infrastructure for biodiversity data and observatories will be a large-scale European research infrastructure bringing together: -a system of marine, terrestrial and freshwater observatories; -common access to a huge amount of interlinked, distributed data from databases and monitoring sites; -computational facilities in virtual laboratories with analytical and modelling tools; -targeted user and training support and a programme for public services.
