This project examines the changing relationship between citizens and the state, focusing on non-traditional forms of political participation and trust. It aims to understand how these shifts impact the stability of liberal democracies in Western societies through empirical research and analysis.
Linkage systems between citizens and the state have been transformed dramatically in previous decades.
