Autophagy is an intracellular catabolic process critical to eukaryotic life and indispensable for plant survival to drought, nutrient scarcity or pathogen attacks.
Autophagy relies on the formation of specialized vesicles called autophagosomes (AP) which engulf and deliver cell components to the lytic vacuole.
