LIPIDQUEST focuses on advancing lipid biology research in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana using proteomics and mass spectrometry. The project aims to identify new genes involved in lipid metabolism, contributing to medical applications and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
LIPIDQUEST is based on new cutting edge developments in the area of proteomics and mass spectrometry and focuses on identifying new key players in lipid biology in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
Short term output will advance our understanding of lipid biosynthesis and turnover and has the potential to contribute to medical applications; ultimately, such research will increase the world’s chances to become less dependent on fossil fuels and thus fight the threatening energy crisis as well…
