LiveSoft aims to improve the reliability of distributed systems by developing lightweight static verification techniques. The project focuses on enhancing software design processes to better handle failures and asynchrony in complex systems, making it easier for developers to create robust applications.
As illustrated through the advent of cloud computing, cyberphysical systems, or the Internet of Things, more and more applications are inherently distributed.
At the same time, programming distributed systems is notoriously hard.
