This project explores the self-renewal capabilities of tissue-resident macrophages, focusing on how aging affects their function and regeneration. It aims to identify molecular pathways that could rejuvenate macrophages to enhance tissue integrity and immune response.
Tissue resident macrophages are essentially present in every organ of the body and perform critical functions in immunity,tissue homeostasis and regeneration.
