MADFORWATER aims to improve wastewater treatment and reuse in agriculture across Mediterranean African countries. The project will develop integrated solutions to enhance water efficiency and ensure sustainable agricultural practices in Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt.
Climate change and population growth are expected to exacerbate the water crisis of Mediterranean African Countries (MACs), where agriculture accounts for 80-85% of freshwater consumption.
