This project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of star formation by simulating the evolution of interstellar matter from diffuse gas to protostars. It will analyze the impact of magnetic fields and radiative processes on star formation dynamics.
Understanding star formation remains one of the greatest challenges of modern astronomy.
Indeed in this field the progresses have been limited due, first, to the huge dynamics of spatial and temporal relevant scales and, second, the great variety and non-linearity of the physical processes involved in the formation of stars.
