This project explores the mathematical foundations of interacting particle systems, cellular automata, and phase transitions. It aims to bridge gaps between these fields to enhance understanding of complex phenomena like the liquid-glass transition in condensed matter physics.
This proposal focuses on the mathematics of three cross-disciplinary, very active and deeply interlaced research themes: interacting particle systems with kinetic constraints, bootstrap percolation cellular automata and mixed order phase transitions.
