This project aims to create a computational model for stroke recovery that leverages insights from neural plasticity and motor learning. It also seeks to develop an affordable, personalized motor training device to enhance upper limb function in stroke survivors, informed by predictive analytics from the model.
Stroke affects 1.1 million Europeans every year, and a majority of stroke survivors show deficits in arm function 6 more after stroke.
However, current motor therapy treatments are both expensive and relatively ineffective.The objectives of this IIF proposal are: 1.
