The MARVAX project aims to develop effective vaccines against the Marburg virus by using viral vector platforms. It focuses on enhancing immune responses through multiple Marburg virus antigens and evaluating their safety and efficacy in preclinical models, ultimately preparing for clinical trials.
The frequency, magnitude, and geographical range of Marburg virus disease outbreaks are expanding, with recent cases emerging in Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania.
