This research aims to optimize the processing of polymeric materials by addressing the anisotropic thermal conductivity in non-isothermal flow conditions. By developing molecular-based models, the project seeks to enhance the performance of plastics in manufacturing and recycling processes.

Most of the PROCESSING of POLYMERIC MATERIALS occurs under NON-ISOTHERMAL flow conditions.
As a result, the COST/ENERGY REQUIRED to manufacture, recycle and dispose polymers is STRONGLY AFFECTED by the thermo-physical properties linkage to state variables such as temperature and stress.
