This project studies how plants produce stress hormones in response to injury. It aims to understand the mechanical signals that trigger hormone production, which is crucial for plant survival against environmental challenges.

These oxygenated lipid derivatives include leukotrienes and prostaglandins in animals, and jasmonates (JAs) in plants with JA-Ile serving as the bioactive phytohormone in angiosperms.
