This project aims to enhance obesity prevention strategies by analyzing how and for whom interventions are effective. It focuses on improving energy balance behaviors through international cooperation among experts to develop more effective and cost-efficient intervention programs.
The prevalence of obesity has increased steadily for the past several decades.
The great public health burden of overweight and obesity requires effective intervention programs targeting energy balance behaviours (e.g. active transport, tv viewing, soft drink and snacking consumption).
