The project aims to create innovative biomaterials that incorporate bioactive metabolites to enhance healing in bone surgeries. By modulating the immune response at the surgical site, these materials could lead to better recovery outcomes for patients with bone defects.
The biomaterials are crucial for the surgical remediation of bone defects caused by various diseases e.g. osteoporosis and traumatic fractures.
