This project aims to understand the mechanisms that facilitate DNA replication at challenging genomic regions, particularly telomeres. By investigating the cellular responses to replication stress, it seeks to uncover factors that contribute to genome stability and cancer.
DNA replication is an essential process for genome duplication, cell division and ultimately organismal survival that ensures faithful transmission of the genome to progeny.
