This research investigates the mechanisms of melanoma metastasis, focusing on how primary tumors interact with lymphatic systems. It aims to identify secreted factors that influence tumor progression and their potential as biomarkers for treatment response.
Melanoma is the cancer with the fastest rising incidence world-wide, and although recent therapies can achieve unprecedented response rates, a significant fraction of patients still succumb to metastatic lesions.
