METNEDIA focuses on developing a diagnostic tool for neurodegenerative diseases using metabolomic analysis and artificial intelligence. The project aims to identify biomarkers and create a diagnostic kit to improve early detection and understanding of these disorders.
The prevalence of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal dementia, continues to rise, partly due to increasing life expectancy.
