This project focuses on electroactive polymers, which change shape in response to electrical signals. It aims to advance the development of microactuators for miniaturized devices while enhancing the career prospects of young researchers in this emerging field.
Electroactive polymers (EAP) consist of materials capable of changing dimensions and/or shape in response to electrical stimuli.
Most EAPs are also capable of generating electrical energy in response to applied mechanical forces.
