MINGRAFT focuses on creating a new bioactive coating for customized implants used in treating jawbone complications. This project aims to enhance the integration of implants and stimulate bone regeneration, addressing the limitations of traditional grafting methods.
There is great need for more effective bone grafts to treat craniomaxillofacial (CMF) complications.
Bone grafting, which accounted for 24 million procedures and $3.3 billion in sales worldwide in 2010, is critical to treat CMF complications associated to trauma, tumour removal, or congenital disorders.
