MITIG focuses on glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive brain tumor, by exploring how cancer cells acquire mitochondria to alter their metabolism. The project aims to identify new therapeutic targets to improve treatment outcomes for this challenging disease.
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) represents the most frequent and aggressive type of primary brain tumours in adults.
