This project investigates the mechanisms of mitochondrial fusion, focusing on the role of large GTPases and the Ubiquitin-Proteasome System. By employing various scientific techniques, it aims to enhance understanding of mitochondrial dynamics and its implications for neurodegenerative diseases.
Mitochondria are not single isolated organelles but constitute a real network comparable to the Endoplasmic Reticulum or the Golgi apparatus.
