This project investigates mitohormesis, a process that may improve health by inducing mild stress in cells, to develop new treatments for obesity and aging. Using a mouse model, the research aims to explore the potential of this approach to enhance metabolic health and longevity.
Obesity and aging are two of the most important health challenges facing our societies in the 21st century.
However, there are currently no effective therapeutic approaches to mitigate the growing obesity pandemic or to promote healthy aging.
