The project aims to enhance drug delivery in cancer therapy by developing liposomes that release their contents in response to specific signals. This innovative approach seeks to improve therapeutic efficacy while minimizing side effects by targeting drug release to affected tissues.
The clinical use of most conventional therapies is limited either by insufficient therapeutic drug concentrations at the target tissue or the severe toxic effects of the drug on healthy tissues.
