This project investigates the impact of household energy consumption on carbon emissions, focusing on personal transport and in-home energy use. It aims to develop a model to analyze the effects of carbon trading policies on reducing emissions at the household level.
Energy consumption and thus carbon emissions in the domestic sector is responsible for more than 50% of UK carbon emissions (and between one-thirds to one-half in most EU countries) and presents a significant challenge to reducing GHG emissions from the EU.
