This project focuses on developing new biocatalysts using Baeyer Villiger monooxygenases to synthesize lactone monomers for sustainable biopolymer production. It involves structural analysis and metabolic pathway engineering to enhance enzyme characteristics and produce high-yield strains of E. coli.
