This research project investigates the interactions within fibrotic lung tissue to identify potential treatment targets. Using advanced technologies, it aims to quantify disease progression through detailed analysis of tissue samples and imaging techniques.
The aim of this research project is to understand the dynamics within the progressing fibrotic lung to identify biologically meaningly interactions which could serve as treatable targets in the future.
Therefore, we will use a spatially resolved study set-up involving multiple layers of cutting-edge -omics technologies wherein the inherent variability will be used as a surrogate for disease progression by in-depth quantification of disease extent using microCT and different staining techniques.
