The project aims to develop mathematical tools for analyzing out-of-equilibrium systems, focusing on proving Fourier's law for Hamiltonian dynamical systems. It will explore transport phenomena in weakly nonlinear and strongly chaotic systems, using probabilistic methods and renormalization group techniques.
The purpose of the project is to develop new tools for a mathematical analysis of out of equilibrium systems.
My main goal is a rigorous proof of Fourier's law for a Hamiltonian dynamical system.
In addition I plan to study various fundamental problems related to transport in such systems. I will consider extended dynamical systems consisting of a large number (possibly infinite) of subsystems that are coupled to each other.
